HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
It costs £12 per hour. For that price you get an hour of cat time plus unlimited hot and cold drinks and you can stay for as long as you like. You will be billed when you leave to the nearest five minutes of your exit time.
DO I HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
You can book in advance but you don’t have to. We always save 50% of our capacity for walk in guests on a first come first serve basis. Pre-bookings are paid for in advance and then if you over run your hour, you can pay the additional charge when you leave.
CAN I BRING CHILDREN?
Unfortunately we do not allow children in the cafe that are under 10 years old. We understand that many children will know how to safely interact with cats and kittens, however not every child does. The age limit is to simply protect the welfare of the cats.

We do run Kids and Cats sessions for children under this age which you can book on our Events page.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?
Please check the Find Us page for the opening hours of your local branch. Each of our cafes is open six days a week and we close one day out of seven for cat naps. Evening and early morning events such as Cat Yoga and Film nights are available to book on our Events page.
WHY DO I HAVE TO REMOVE MY SHOES?

We ask all customers to remove their shoes or use shoe covers whilst in the cafe. This is not only to keep the cafe clean but it also stops the transfer of outside bacteria to our cats. We also request you sanitise your hands before entering for the same reason.

WHY SHOULD I VISIT CAT CAFE?

Cat Cafe is a safe haven away from the bustling streets of busy life. We are passionate about Animal Assisted Therapy which has shown that spending time with cats not only reduces your heart rate and blood pressure but is good for mental health.

We offer an extensive menu of hot and cold drinks, have cosy sofas to cuddle up on and don’t set any limits to how long you are welcome to stay. All of this equates to a relaxing and calming atmosphere - the purrfect escape from stress.

DO YOU HAVE A MEMBERS SCHEME?

We currently have a loyalty card scheme that can be picked up and used at any branch. When you spend 7 full hours at Cat Cafe we will give you an 8th completely free.

HOW DO YOU STOP THE CATS FROM ESCAPING?
We operate a triple door system, two of which have a security release on them so one cannot be opened without the other being shut. You also enter the café via a cloakroom. There will be four of five internal doors between the cats and street exit.
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR CATS FROM?

Many of our cats are pedigree - this is because their natures are well suited to a cafe environment. Our cats and kittens come from registered GCCF breeders who abide by the rules of ethical breeding. Many of our cats have been re-homed from owners who were no longer able to keep them or because they have disabilities, such as blindness or hearing loss.

We also work with rehoming centres to see if we can offer any local cats their forever home. We will only ever take in cats that will be happy in our cafe and usually are struggling to find homes elsewhere.

DO YOU SERVE COOKED FOOD?
We serve an extensive bakery menu alongside snacks such as cakes, muffins and biscuits, but we do not cook or prepare any hot food on site.
ARE YOU HELPING CATS?
Absolutely! Although we do not directly operate as a rescue or rehoming centre, Cat Cafe support local animal charities by running special events to raise money and awareness. Our strong social media presence is used to advertise local rescue cats and kittens who desperately need a forever home. We also take in donations for our local charities such as food, litter and toys.

At Cat Cafe we are also passionate about promoting owner and breeder awareness about cat related health issues and we are working on campaigns to help abolish hereditary disorders such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Polycystic Kidney Disease and Cardio Myopathy.
WHAT DO THE CATS EAT?
Our cats eat grain-free high protein based food most of which is human grade meat and fish. We feed raw as well as cooked meat and work hard to recreate the natural hunting environment of the cats by hiding food in the cat runs and using cat tree food dispensers, where they have to paw the food out of the tree in order to eat it.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE CATS ARE HAPPY AND HEALTHY?
We have a set of house rules to protect the cats' welfare that have to be adhered to by all customers. Any customer who is seen breaking the rules will be asked to leave. They can be seen before you arrive here. We also limit the capacity of our cafes to ensure the cats are not overcrowded.

Our cats also have weekly health checks which involves weighing them and noting any signs of potential illness. We also conduct behavioural studies on each cat regularly to ensure their behaviour in the cafe demonstrates that of a happy and relaxed cat - if it does not, we take them out of the cafe environment.

Most importantly our cats have their own large, private Cat Room and/or Cat Spaces where they are free to wander in and out as they please. We do not force our cats to be in the cafe. When the cats are in the cafe space, they are there out of choice, and we intend to always keep it that way.
DO YOU OFFER GLUTEN FREE AND VEGAN OPTIONS?
Yes. Cat Café caters for a variety of special dietary requirements. There are gluten free options on the snack menu as well as vegan beverages with dairy alternatives such as soya and almond milk. There is also food available that does not contain nuts.
DO YOU HAVE DISABLED ACCESS?

Yes at Cat Cafe we have full disabled access and disabled toilet facilities.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any special requirements.

Please note: Our Liverpool branch is a multi-story building with no lift facilities. Therefore access is to the ground floor only.

DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?

Yes we sell vouchers in multiples of £5. They can be used at any of our branches.

They are available to purchase in our cafes or online here.

DO YOU CURRENTLY HAVE ANY VACANCIES?

When we are recruiting it is always posted across our social media network. Ensure you have liked us on Facebook to keep up to date with opportunities.

DO YOU OFFER STUDENT DISCOUNT?

Yes. Between Monday and Friday we offer 10% off for all students with a valid student ID. This cannot currently be booked online. It can be used for any walk in customers. Or if you’d prefer please call your desired branch to book with your discount.

DO YOU OFFER PARKING?

We do not have designated parking but both our Cat Cafe’s are located within the city centre and within a 5 minute walk from the train station. Please see Find Us for more information.

CAN I BRING MY CAT?

No. Cat Cafe is the home to our resident cats and we do not allow them any feline visitors.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

We do not allow any dogs other than guide dogs into the Café.

If you wish to visit with a guide dog please call ahead to arrange this with us.

ARE CATS KEPT IN CAGES OVERNIGHT?
No. Our cats are never, ever, kept in cages. The café is their home. Much as you would never put your pet cat in a cage at home, we won’t be putting our cats in cages at Cat Café. Ever.

At night there is a member of staff on duty to clean and maintain the café as well as giving the cats some much needed one on one attention if need be.
